Bitter

Wow. It's been 5 weeks since my last post. What a lazy person I was and still am. No, maybe I wasn't lazy. Maybe I was busy with my daily job as an intern at Kuala Krai District Health Office. Haha.

Almost 2 months already, stuck in this place. And I must say that I'm pretty comfortable being here. Also with the H1N1 cases were revolving around me last month in which I refused to get involved, for I was afraid I might get infected. Aha. So I was hanging around another departments in the district health office. The best thing is, I get to go home on weekends to my family. Being friends with almost all hot blooded males at the workplace. Oh I forgot to tell you that 98% employees at the health office are males. And 96% of those males are twice my age, and married with several kids. I swear, it is quite fun though, talking, laughing and hanging out with those guys.

Did I find someone attractive here? Of course, but he is taken (has a girlfriend already lol). I have tried on him and it worked somehow but I felt I had to back off. Coz I hate messing with someone else's boyfriend. And no, I didn't cry at all.

And now I'm in the middle of Ramadhan, the fasting month for Muslims. In less than 2 weeks, we will celebrate the Eid ul-Fitr, and I haven't prepare anything for the celebration. Normally people would buy new clothes for the celebration, and in some cases everything in the house should be new. The curtains, cushion covers, couches, tables, and sometimes the house will get a new paintjob. As in my case, well I'm gonna celebrate it with my family without too much hassle or new things. As long as my family is there, that is enough.

I think that's all for now. Please excuse my terrible grammar. See ya next time.

Pronto

1. I checked myself into District Health Office of Kuala Krai on July 20 which was also my nephew's 9th birthday.

2. Am glad with the surroundings and almost all people there are very friendly and welcoming.

3. Me and other 3 girls were placed temporarily at the Communicable Disease Control (CDC) Unit. We didn't do anything except laughing and joking with the CDC officers for 2 weeks while sorting out those Typhoid, Rubella, TB patients' files.

4. Not to mention that the place are male dominated. Some middle aged married guys were trying to flirt with me but they had to face my ignorance. Blah. I guess I have to tell everyone that I'm gay/lesbian or something. Haha.

5. Kuala Krai is a relatively a small town. Has some small supermarkets and sadly no bowling centre and also no cinema. Guess I have to miss out some great movies until April next year.

6. There have been several H1N1 cases in Kuala Krai. I haven't been able to go check them out because the CDC officers were concerned in case of us getting infected.

7. What else about my new place? I guess that's all.

8. My sister and her family just came back from Scotland for a 2-month break. Can't wait to see em!

9. I'll have to go to a health education program tomorrow morning in a high school somewhere in the area. The program is called Prostar.

10. That's all for now. See you soon.

Moving Out

It is 5.15 am in the morning and I'm still wide awake. Well, it is because I haven't finished packing up my stuff. Am gonna move in to new place today.

Let me clarify the situation. Kuala Lumpur is the capital of Malaysia. I have been staying here for almost 2 years, which is near to my college. And this is my final year of study and I have finished studying the theory of the course, which is Environmental Health. So to complete the final year, I have to undergo a practical training program for 8 months at a district health office. I will be posted at a district health office in Kuala Krai which is in my home state, Kelantan. Boy, am I glad because I had pulled some rough strings for the sake of getting that place. Although the place is about 2-hour drive from my home sweet home. That doesn't concern me much though. I can always go home on weekends.

A bus will come and pick me up on 7 am. I still haven't figure out how to pack my stuff properly. Where to put this, where to put that. Should I bring along that thing or this thing etc. How am I gonna get those boxes down to the ground level from my 26th floor apartment? We'll see.

I'm gonna be offline for a few days until I get a proper internet connection at my new place. Til then, I wish you guys all the best for your life!

See you soon.

Bad Week

I haven't been able to update my blog for so long. Because I had so much things on my mind. College, money, college, money, homesick, laziness, and so on. I felt like I haven't got anything to keep me motivated in doing certain things, including blogging. And guess what, I had such a bad mood last week and come this week, the negative vibes are still around.

What happened last week could be the worst thing ever happened to any owner of a personal computer or laptop. My laptop's hard disk broke down on Wednesday. Took it to a computer shop on Thursday and the repair guy told me to take it to Acer's Service Centre to get the hard disk replaced for free. And yes, my laptop is still under warranty so I took it to the service centre. Guess what, the service centre personnel told me that I couldn't claim the free service under the warranty because my laptop was bought in UK and it could get free service only in UK. I was like, "WTF?". I was so shocked when I read the Acer's warranty policy. After making several calls to the Acer Hotline, I finally surrendered. And I ended up paying all the repair cost. There goes my monthly allowance down the drain. I wouldn't buy any other Acer's product anymore in the future.

I'll start serving as an intern in a district health office somewhere in Malaysia this end of July. I was hoping that I can get posted somewhere in my hometown or my home state but I couldn't. Some bastards took my dream place first so I guess I'll end up somewhere I don't know and don't want. And so I think those things that I mentioned above are the reasons why there are so much negative vibes in my life right now. I will try to make things better tomorrow, and I hope you guys will pray for my best. See you guys soon.

p/s: Oh look, my grammar sucks. And I'm such a bad-mouthed girl. Forgot to mention that I yelled several times to the Acer's Hotline's operator.

My Super Boy

In 2008, he would always make this facial expression whenever we wanted to take his pictures. And he would never got tired of getting his hands on the car steering wheel.

As for the year 2009, and at the age of 2, I don't know how he managed to make another cute but funny face. Presenting the new trademark of my 4th nephew, El Arshad. Face of 2009.

An Open Letter To My "Dead" Phone

Dear Nokia 6600...

Where should I begin? How do I begin?

You were about RM600++ when I bought you in 2005. And I wasn't your first owner. I could be the second. Could be the third. And now, no one would ever buy you from me. Not even for RM50.

You took many award-winning photos. Well, okay, the self-admitted award-winning photos.

You are older than four of my five nephews. My first nephew used to throw you down the floor, just like a bowling ball. And yet you were still going strong.

You stood by me while I went from one relationship to another.

You kept on helping me communicate with people, good people and even the jerkiest ones.

You were always attracting my nephews' attention. Had to let them hold you but with your keypad locked though.

You had Pocket Oxford Dictionary installed on you. And that made me love you even more. Recently, I installed the Medical Dictionary on you and it was so much handy for me. You made me proud and also my friends were so jealous of me.

You were the reason why I never went out looking for another phone. Not to mention also because of I had always been out of money.

You made me restless. For the time being, I am more restless. Because I'm so out of money and I have no phone.

I am much much more restless without the Pocket Oxford Dictionary.

And much much much more restless because all my friends' numbers are stored on you. And I can't turn you on at all.

Why did you have to go and make things so complicated?

Bestest Girlfriends Award

I was nominated for this award, and out of nowhere, I won it. Haha. Actually, it was Nadira who gave me this award. I'm soo grateful to accept this award and I'll also have to give this award away to some cool girls below:

  • Nadira - We 1st met at a bowling centre in Batu Pahat, Johor, Malaysia. I was with my friend and she was there with her boyfriend, Cecil Visigoth. And no, we didn't click immediately until one day I met her in the university campus (Oh yeah, she was in the same Uni) and I went to stay in her room. She treated me so good, and until now I still don't know why. But anyway, I think she is one of the sweetest person you can ever find in the world. (No, it is not a bodek OK?)
  • Eryn - Was my classmates for 1 year and a half in the uni. Also used to be my roommate. I was technically the worst roommate ever, and yet she could hold on. Best friend who would help me anytime, and I still owe her some money right?
  • My only sister. Sure, we had some ups and downs, but we are sisters no matter what.
  • My mummy. My loyal chatting partner. My domestic diva. My personal brand of best chef. My everything.
  • Era - My childhood friend. My playmate. My partner in crime. Long time ago.
  • Wanie - My classmates in school. Also used to be my partner in crime. And now, she is counting the days to her wedding, probably on December.
  • Sharifah - My protege, starting from 2003 until now. She has such a big respect towards me and would always give me a credit for anything she has done. Now a nursing student in one of hundreds nursing colleges in Malaysia.
Hmm.. I think that's all. See you soon!

Happy 2nd Birthday Baby!

Hello again everybody, today is my nephew's 2nd birthday. His name is El Arshad Mohammed and was born on May 19th, 2007 (of course). Too bad, I won't be around near him today. We are about 284 miles apart (according to Google Earth). Yeah, he is in Kota Bharu while I'm in Kuala Lumpur. But I'm sure will gonna see him later on this end of month.

Latest update from me, I had signed up for a Paypal account. That is because I'm interested in cashing out my EC credits. Haha. Nope. Actually it is for online trade purposes, such as selling or buying online and also for transferring money in case someone is generous enough to give me some money.. LOL. Also, I have activated my Twitter account, so if you ever feel like following me (and my updates), please feel free to do so.

Oh, I feel so lazy to go to classes nowadays! Especially the Environmental Health Legislation class. I have to learn everything about law subject and I feel like a lawyer or Magistrate already! FYI, I'm taking 2 subjects this semester, and the other one is Occupational Safety and Health (OSHA). I love the OSHA subject better... :-)

That's all for the quick update. I wanna wish my darling Arshad a very cheerful Happy Birthday and hope to see him later. Auntie Tiara loves you! xoxo.
