Pronto

1. I checked myself into District Health Office of Kuala Krai on July 20 which was also my nephew's 9th birthday.

2. Am glad with the surroundings and almost all people there are very friendly and welcoming.

3. Me and other 3 girls were placed temporarily at the Communicable Disease Control (CDC) Unit. We didn't do anything except laughing and joking with the CDC officers for 2 weeks while sorting out those Typhoid, Rubella, TB patients' files.

4. Not to mention that the place are male dominated. Some middle aged married guys were trying to flirt with me but they had to face my ignorance. Blah. I guess I have to tell everyone that I'm gay/lesbian or something. Haha.

5. Kuala Krai is a relatively a small town. Has some small supermarkets and sadly no bowling centre and also no cinema. Guess I have to miss out some great movies until April next year.

6. There have been several H1N1 cases in Kuala Krai. I haven't been able to go check them out because the CDC officers were concerned in case of us getting infected.

7. What else about my new place? I guess that's all.

8. My sister and her family just came back from Scotland for a 2-month break. Can't wait to see em!

9. I'll have to go to a health education program tomorrow morning in a high school somewhere in the area. The program is called Prostar.

10. That's all for now. See you soon.

Moving Out

It is 5.15 am in the morning and I'm still wide awake. Well, it is because I haven't finished packing up my stuff. Am gonna move in to new place today.

Let me clarify the situation. Kuala Lumpur is the capital of Malaysia. I have been staying here for almost 2 years, which is near to my college. And this is my final year of study and I have finished studying the theory of the course, which is Environmental Health. So to complete the final year, I have to undergo a practical training program for 8 months at a district health office. I will be posted at a district health office in Kuala Krai which is in my home state, Kelantan. Boy, am I glad because I had pulled some rough strings for the sake of getting that place. Although the place is about 2-hour drive from my home sweet home. That doesn't concern me much though. I can always go home on weekends.

A bus will come and pick me up on 7 am. I still haven't figure out how to pack my stuff properly. Where to put this, where to put that. Should I bring along that thing or this thing etc. How am I gonna get those boxes down to the ground level from my 26th floor apartment? We'll see.

I'm gonna be offline for a few days until I get a proper internet connection at my new place. Til then, I wish you guys all the best for your life!

See you soon.

Bad Week

I haven't been able to update my blog for so long. Because I had so much things on my mind. College, money, college, money, homesick, laziness, and so on. I felt like I haven't got anything to keep me motivated in doing certain things, including blogging. And guess what, I had such a bad mood last week and come this week, the negative vibes are still around.

What happened last week could be the worst thing ever happened to any owner of a personal computer or laptop. My laptop's hard disk broke down on Wednesday. Took it to a computer shop on Thursday and the repair guy told me to take it to Acer's Service Centre to get the hard disk replaced for free. And yes, my laptop is still under warranty so I took it to the service centre. Guess what, the service centre personnel told me that I couldn't claim the free service under the warranty because my laptop was bought in UK and it could get free service only in UK. I was like, "WTF?". I was so shocked when I read the Acer's warranty policy. After making several calls to the Acer Hotline, I finally surrendered. And I ended up paying all the repair cost. There goes my monthly allowance down the drain. I wouldn't buy any other Acer's product anymore in the future.

I'll start serving as an intern in a district health office somewhere in Malaysia this end of July. I was hoping that I can get posted somewhere in my hometown or my home state but I couldn't. Some bastards took my dream place first so I guess I'll end up somewhere I don't know and don't want. And so I think those things that I mentioned above are the reasons why there are so much negative vibes in my life right now. I will try to make things better tomorrow, and I hope you guys will pray for my best. See you guys soon.

p/s: Oh look, my grammar sucks. And I'm such a bad-mouthed girl. Forgot to mention that I yelled several times to the Acer's Hotline's operator.
